My students are all beginning their journey with the French language, and are very curious about the French-speaking world. They are eager to build their vocabulary and their language skills. About 99% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our community is in a public housing project located on the far south side of Chicago. Despite the economic challenges of our community, my students come to school eager to learn. As their French teacher, I am watching them grow in their acquisition of the language. We look forward to continuing our quest of understanding the French speaking world.
