Students will be able to utilize their new CO2 sensor to study the effects of humans, animals, car emissions, and decomposing food waste on the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. They will use this to make determinations about leading causes of climate change and discover for themselves the impacts that carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have on global temperatures. With this sensor, they will be able to do real science to discover the effects of this controversial gas. Combined with literature in the field of climate studies and environmental science, hands on experiences like these investigations allow students to gain a bigger picture of what is happening in the world around them. Donate to this project to help students engage in original scientific research.
