I would love to give all of my students a sketchbook for them to capture their ideas and artwork at home. Many students don't have paper at home to do the work, use random sheets of paper that get lost, or are trying to use the computer, but it really isn't the same. Giving them their own place to draw and practice the skills learned online can help grow their skillset and their imagination. A sketchbook can be a magical place to share thoughts and ideas. It can help hone in on skills and a place to express yourself. Many artists use sketchbooks to start ideas, work them out or revise ideas. I want my students to have a place to put their ideas.
