I teach in a typical mid-western, middle to low income middle school. I have both general education & special education students. Students' reading/ writing levels range from above grade level to below beginning reader. As a co-teacher I also have students with special challenges i.g. dyslexia, autism and learning disabilities. All students, regardless of ability, encounter specific areas of difficulty or high interest which need support and/or encouragement.
