Schoology is hosting its annual user conference in Austin. My passion for effective technology integration in the classroom would be honored as well as honed if I had the opportunity to attend this conference. I've secured some funds for the conference, but not enough to attend. I hope to raise funding for my food, transportation, and miscellaneous resort expenses I'll incur while on my mission to enhance technology-based learning for students in my district. I will network at this conference with fellow Schoology users, but my main goal is to attend sessions focused on student engagement and choice, in the hopes that I can bring back new ideas, strategies, and learning to share with my colleagues through professional development sessions. In my role as a Tech Innovator and PD leader in my district, I have the opportunity to effect change in technology integration at a variety of levels, and I want to capitalize on this through continued learning and professional development of my own. My 150+ students are not the only ones who will benefit from my new learning at this conference; my fellow teachers will, too.
