The flexible seating craze has swept the nation’s classrooms and especially during this pandemic, and for good reason: teachers know that getting students moving during the day sets them up for academic success. This project will help transform my “traditional” style classroom into a student-centered learning space. My objectives are: Choice: children learn best when they have some choice over their environment. Movement: flexible seating helps children to move to suit their needs. Sensory Input: flexible seating assists the students' sense of attention which is especially helpful for students having ADHD and Autism and wiggly first graders. Collaboration: children are able to work together when they are placed in groups that permit a comfortable environment. Please help my my amazing students learn better in a fun, comfortable environment that permits them to feel safe and happy.
