Reading is an entertaining and relaxing learning activity. I was able to get a colorful carpet and four box crates for the reading corner. What my readers need are some pillows to make their visit in the reading corner more comfortable. By creating an awesome reading corner, I hope to expand their vocabulary, encourage more reading, build reading fluency, and promote curiosity. Last year Houston was devastated by Hurricane Harvey. This event can turn into a strong learning experience. Many in this community suffered great loss and many never recovered. I hope to use the STEM Kit to help my students understand real-world challenges and promote critical thinking.

About my class
