I teach at a charter school in Ohio. Funding at my school is low and therefore we cannot get all the materials that we would like to help enhance our students academic skills. My students are from low income families. Often times they do not have all their school supplies. However, my 38 students are funny and happy and want to learn. Unfortunately, over half of my class is struggling in reading. I can see their bright lights dimming when they try so hard to read a story, but can't get through it without constant struggling.
