The students you will be helping are third graders in rural Missouri. They come from very different backgrounds. So when they come into my room they are usually hesitant working with one another. Our school houses first through fourth grade with roughly about 300 students. They are eager to learn, crave hands-on learning projects, and will become our future. The goal is to provide them with learning that creates a sense of unity amongst themselves. We try to create a family network where students will want to work together to create a team-based community.
