I am earning my Master's in STEM Leadership Education and would like to apply the skills and knowledge I have learned into my public charter school classroom. I will complete my degree shortly, however, am still earning a novice teacher salary. I used to work for private schools where funding for materials is much more readily available, which I do not believe is fair for children unable to receive a private school education. My aim is to level the playing field and give each child an equal opportunity and chance at greater successes. STEAM education is essential, but expensive on a teacher's salary to say the least! The materials I have requested will be role-playing, real-world applicable practice for knowledge and skills taught and previously acquired. These 'board games' and projects will allow my students to put their knowledge to use through practical play. I have made 1,000s of materials for my classroom, however, unfortunately not all materials can be made. By donating to my project, you will be enabling me to follow my career dreams as a proficient Montessori STEAM educator, educating all children for a better future!
