Having the classroom mat that you are going to donate will allow flexible seating for my students that will help them do their best work across curriculum as they exercise the freedom of choice they had been given. Students are to learn to respect and take good care of the mat and all materials in classroom - keep it safe, clean and neat - clean up their station after an activity. This freedom of choice on where and how my students complete their task whether on the floor mat, or sitting on chair by the table, or standing will empower them to make good choices/decisions, and that empowerment helps them develop to become skillful problem solvers, confident, independent and responsible individuals. I am excited to lead these students in their first steps of the wonderful educational journey in preparing them to become college and career ready.
