I like to think of my video production and yearbook classes as closely managed chaos! My students gain hands on, real world experience that translates to a variety of potential career opportunities. My video production students learn the full filming cycle, from writing screenplays and storyboarding to filming to editing, and even adding special effects in post-production. My yearbook students also gain real world publications experience, including photography skills, interviewing, writing, and the basics of graphic design and layout. All my students learn to work in groups, manage their time, coordinate schedules, and think creatively to overcome equipment difficulties.
