Students in our economically, culturally and linguistically diverse school learn more than academics in an authentic public Montessori elementary environment. They learn to plan for their own learning, organize their work, negotiate peacefully with others, and find their place in the world. They also learn from a rich and full academic curriculum that includes botany, zoology, geometry, Big History, art, music, dance, as well as mathematics and language arts. Our students come from diverse backgrounds with more than 80% English Language Learners and we are a Title One school. A Montessori education opens up worlds for all children and gives each of them a world-class education. However, we are an urban public school and resources are often hard to come by. Any support that can be provided would be greatly appreciated and immediately utilized. Thank you!
