My students have great success when presented with materials that use every sense in order for them to gain understanding of a topic, especially with the use of color. Due to their cognitive impairment, is it essential to use visuals within my classroom to not only allow students to understand basic cognitive skills, but to also apply them to real-world scenarios to expand their social skills. This allows students to respond to lessons that are academically related with sensory components implemented as well. We have many students who learn differently, but in the end, they are all capable of achieving greatness when the resources are there to aide in their achievements!!!
