We started reading the Wayside School series around December and the students were hooked! They were always wanting to finish their work so that they could have read aloud time. They even were assigning characters to each other! It did not matter what background they came from all of them loved the book and laughed at every joke. They were sad that the stories were over when I finished the first book so I went ahead and ordered the second book and they are still so into it. Many of them were wanting to read the third one over the summer since they realized we will not get to it. Many of them cannot afford to order it and do not want to bother their parents about it. I think getting them all the set would be great for them to carry on not only for them but their siblings.
