My name is Marcela Salinas, and I am a bilingual second grade teacher serving the Northwest side of Chicago. I love being a public school teacher but I can definitely use all the help I can get! This year I have 25 students, 17 of which are in the bilingual program, meaning English was not their first language. A small amount of these students are newcomer children. I look forward to working with these students and guiding them in their language acquisition, as well as their social emotional development and learning across all subjects.
