Throughout this hectic time of living and teaching during a pandemic, I have learned the best ways to reach my students and engaged with them. Although my school provided me with a computer five years ago, I find that is is very difficult to teach with this device. Though the computer is helpful for zooming, it is not necessarily helpful with arranging lessons and making Powerpoints that I find to be useful teaching tools. Not only that, the computer has become slow and overheats when I am on it for hours teaching. During these challenging times of COVID 19, an iPad will enhance my direct teaching to my students. This iPad will enable me to share interactive lessons more easily and it will facilitate the distance learning that is required during this time. I am confident that this tool will not only benefit me, but most importantly it will benefit the way the lessons are getting across to my students. From the distance learning that was done in the last school year, I have learned a lot more about how my students engage and what fits their needs best. They are most responsive to interactive lessons where I can mirror what I am doing on my device. This can be done easily on a smaller device that is more accessible and easy to move. My students deserve the best and I believe that the generous donation of this iPad would be so great for them. One thing that I noticed with distance learning is that students and parents contacted me all throughout the day. This iPad will allow me to contact my students and parents more easily wherever I go. An iPad is practical when it comes to answering quick questions and researching questions that are related to technology.
