Our children deserve actual books! How many of you love to go to a book store, pick up a new book, hold it in your hand, smell it, and flip through the pages? I want my students to gain a sense of love for a book like I found in high school, but it's difficult with making photo copies of each chapter and sharing with a partner. It also makes reading at home nearly impossible. Please help me fund my classroom library. Girl, Interrupted is the memoir we read for narrative writing, and Yummy is a new graphic novel I want to attempt for our speech unit. Please help me make this possible.
