My students have reading intervention every day. The majority of my students are at least one grade level behind. During our intervention time, we are able to pin point where a student needs some fine tuning to help them understand a concept better. Instead of feeling the pressure of being in a large group setting, we are able to work in small groups to help them feel more confident in their reading abilities. I need a kidney table to be able to allow multiple students to come to a space in the classroom where I can work individually or in a small group setting with them. I have seen the impact that small group intervention has had on my students. They are beginning to love reading instead of dreading it.
