I believe every student should be exposed to all kinds of art making techniques and materials. In order to have access to these materials, it is essential that our room is equipped with the appropriate furniture to organize all the materials. I would love for my student to be able to learn in a space that is welcoming, organized and accessible to all the supplies they need to be successful learners and artists. With the appropriate furniture, my students will be able to come into class and navigate through each space with access to their books, art supplies, and artwork. I will be able to also teach my students what it means to create a working art studio and how to maintain it clean. The furniture listed on my project will transform our space. We will be able to create an art library and organize all of our books on the bookshelf. Our dry media supplies and paper will be organized on the other shelves so that students may have a central area where they can find and grab the supplies they need. We will also be able to store 3D artwork on the metal shelves during our projects and give the opportunity for students to create large size sculptures. Lastly, the large cutter will help us trim large size paper and trim finished artwork and achieve a clean professional look.
