My students IEPs (Individualized Educational Plan) indicate that there will be repeated practice and repetition. The iPads will help by giving them individualized practice on reteaching of skills that need the support. The repetition will move these skills to long term memory. The availability of apps on the iPad will open many new doors for my students to learn in a variety of different ways. The apps give me, the teacher, the opportunity to differentiate for each child's needs. One app that I know will impact my class is called Clicker Docs. This app is an assistive word processor that has word prediction, spelling and grammar suggestions while writing. It also allows boys and girls to review their work by listening to auditory cues. There are millions of apps that can improve my class's skills to help them become successful.
