My students have asked for flexible seating specifically in order to help them focus and achieve more in the classroom. They will be able to make choices around where they sit in the classroom and be held accountable for the work they get done in those seats. My students are less wiggly during the day if they are able to move around and change their seats when needed. The products I need to start my flexible seating classroom will help my students be engaged throughout the lessons. The pillow and lap desks will be vital when students choose to sit on the floor, or even lay on the floor. The clipboards are so important for those who wish to stand or use some of our other chairs without a desk. I have seen firsthand the difference flexible seating can make and hope these changes can positively influence my students!
