The soft seats and pillows will provide comfort for my students and allow them space to move around while they learn and grow in groups. They will be able to use the soft seats and/or pillows for seats during group time which will allow them to maintain focus for a longer period of time. Focus requires comfort and not using chairs and a table will minimize the distractions around them. The calming pillows will also provide a safe and comfortable space for my students that need time away to cool down and reset themselves to return to class. My student's calm down corner is an important space. This space allows them time to reflect, process, and identify stress in their lives. It is imperative to their learning experience to feel comfortable and safe when they become overwhelmed.
