Our classroom is in deep need of a technology upgrade. We are working with students who have a huge range of abilities and needs. We are a resource center which means that we have students coming to us for tests, projects, and classwork. On top of all this, we teach classes as well.
Many of our students benefit from having access to both visual and auditory learning this is where videos come in handy. Our students will be able to look up the science experience they are reading about. They will be able to look up videos like crash course which will give them a short overview of a variety of topics to help them study for tests. They will be able to watch videos from the history channel which will help take a history from the pages of their textbook to a current experience. They will be able to watch Khan Academy videos on math concepts. We will also be able to stream audiobooks to help students complete novels from their English classes or Literature classes. We can also show movie versions of the books.
Many of our students have a hard time keeping up with video guides. Videos aren't shown all the time in mainstream classes but when they are it would be nice to offer students a chance to come here and complete the same work. They will be able to come to our room to watch Bill Nye the Science guy something they do in class but would have to option to do with us as well. This way we can help them fill out the worksheet and make sure they receive full credit. When we are teaching our own class we will be able to show our students videos to help them understand basic
