My students are immensely intelligent, talented, and hardworking. They encourage each other to be better people and musicians. Many of them come from blue collar families and have never seen instruments before they walk into my classroom. My goal is to give them every experience possible so they can have a fulfilling time in music class. This project will be beneficial for our classroom because it will allow my students to experience new instruments. We don't have anything like this in our classroom right now. With these new glockenspiels, my students will have a more meaningful music class. When we are composing (writing music) and improvising (making up songs on the spot), students will have a wider variety of instruments to choose from, which will give them more autonomy and enjoyment. They will feel more in charge of their music, and more pride in their music, if they can design it to their own personal wants and needs. Thank you for your consideration!
