Students in traditional seating can get territorial over their space and supplies but flexible seating encourages students to share both. An uncomfortable student can be easily distracted and unproductive. Classrooms that are student-centered are successful! Yoga balls and surfer desk seating options will increase student learning because flexible seating options stimulate students' sense of touch. This stimulation can help children focus and process information. Flexible seating can make learning fun and sensory input is especially helpful to students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD but will benefit all students.
