The Scholastic News magazines selected will enhance the literacy rich environment I strive to create for my students. The magazines will act as supplementary teaching tools that will be used to support ELA, Science, and Social Studies curriculum. The rich nonfiction text within the magazines will promote reading fluency and provide in depth comprehension with the online features. These magazines will inspire students to learn about global events and nurture interest that they already have. As a result of newly gained knowledge from the magazines, students will develop and sharpen their writing, discussion, and social skills. Your donation will make it possible for students to become well informed current events readers.
