My students are unique learners! There are 6 children who populate my class, all of these fabulous children have autism, therefore, I would love to have a warm, welcoming, and cozy classroom in which has a variety of seating options to accommodate all learners. Each day is a new opportunity for me to challenge my students, keep them engaged, and keep them motivated to learn. Providing them with the opportunity to choose their seats, is a simple way to help me reach that goal on a daily basis. Not only will this allow for comfort, but it will encourage collaboration amongst students as well. In order for learning to occur, students need to be actively engaged, they need to be comfortable, and they need to be given the opportunity to make choices. Flexible seating in the classroom will allow my learners to choose how they would like to learn, participate, and engage in the lessons daily.
