In order to provide my students with the opportunities needed to be successful, I am trying something new this year to help with their focus and retention of materials presented. I plan on trying to bring a research-based approach to my classroom through the use of flexible seating. The items I have chosen to incorporate in my classroom will allow a range of motion while the students are staying seated and learning. I am hoping that if I provide these items that will be conductive to our environment they will help to promote collaborative, discussion-based group work and aid in taking my below proficient learners above and beyond and able to excel!
