My students are adorable and brilliant fifth graders who attend a small but growing charter school. They are very curious, often asking me questions about things that are outside the content I am actually teaching when they can. The school is ninety percent free or reduced lunch so many of my students come from a high poverty background. As a result, many do not have access to books at home and the city library is inaccessible to them. However, the students thrive in spite of this. Their thirst for knowledge is unquenchable, and I look forward to helping them access an ever-increasing fountain of it.
