Flexible seating is a key component of today’s classroom. Straight back plastic chairs can be hard to sit in for long periods. With flexible seating students get to make a choice and be comfy. Flexible seating will give my students some power and control over how they learn in the classroom. I currently have no flexible seating and am worried students will become uncomfortable and be distracted from their learning. The stools can be used at desks or around the room, inflatable wobble cushions can be used over chairs, and the floor seat cushions will be great for reading and working around the room. 5th grade is an interesting time for students because they are starting to make more choices on their own and get ready for Middle School. Why not give them the choice of comfort?
