Even in an average year, the war against being distracted by wiggles is one my students and I face daily. This year, we are working harder than ever to stay safely separated and enter shared spaces as little as possible. These stools would allow my active learners an outlet for their need to move while remaining not only focused on their learning but safely in their own space. Further, providing the option for students to use these stools instead of stationary seating allows for autonomy and increased ownership in educational needs. This is an introductory step into helping learners advocate for their own needs.
