I am an ELA teacher and cheer/dance team coach at Detroit Collegiate High School. We serve many low-income/high-needs learners and families right in the heart of Detroit, MI. Our learners are eager to achieve amazing things, personally and as a community. At DCHS, we hope to provide experiences and resources for our leaners to be successful in their present and future endeavors. Detroit Collegiate cultivates a love of learning and pursuit of excellence by developing student competence, confidence and character through a focus on active, student-centered learning and a classical approach to education upon which successful, empowered and courageous lives are built and sustained.
