Hello all! My name is Hannah Moniz and I am an eighth grade math teacher at Don Mensendick School in Glendale, Arizona! The students that I have are very fun, energetic and bright young individuals despite the impact of the poverty stricken area around us. Due to the lack of stability and motivation that they have seen outside of school, my goal is to ensure that my students are actively engaged with a well rounded education each day! Not only do we focus on our math discussions and how to incorporate math into our lives, but we put a strong emphasis on behavioral skills that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives. My classroom is not just a room for our math learning, but rather it is a room where we become a family who learns and grows from our mistakes.
