With the shift back from distance learning to a physical classroom setting, the use of flexible seating will play an important role in my classroom to aid in this transition. Before distance learning, students overwhelmingly preferred to stand, sit on stools, or kneel besides their desks to complete a task, rather than sit in a traditional desk. The high tables will provide my students with opportunities to lean, stand, or sit. Being able to move through the use of flexible seating will increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In addition, it will help keep my students more alert and focused. With these tables, my students will be able to engage in the academic material at hand, and not become restless and disengaged from being restricted to a traditional desk. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus by providing them with flexible seating, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
