Welcome to our first-grade special education classroom, where every student learns and grows in their own unique way! My students are bright, loving, and full of personality, each bringing their own strengths, interests, and learning styles to our classroom. We serve students with significant learning and communication needs, including students who are nonverbal and benefit from individualized visual and hands-on supports. Each day, we work on communication, independence, social-emotional skills, academics, and confidence. Whether a student is learning to make a choice, follow a visual schedule, complete a routine, or master a new skill, we celebrate every step forward. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom where every student feels valued, has a way to communicate, and has the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine!
