The books will be used weekly for independent reading. Students will take out a book from our classroom library or the school library and read silently. Having these resources (books) in the class will help my students with narrowing down their own reading preferences and allow them the freedom to choose a book they enjoy reading. I am requesting these books for our classroom library to make it easier for my students to narrow down what they like to read. Sometimes they can get overwhelmed by the magnitude of books in the library and not choose anything at all. In addition having the books in class will help some of my forgetful students and hold them accountable for their reading assignments.
