Hello! I am a second year teacher with a lot of enthusiasm. I have been lucky to have a wonderful class of 27 diverse fourth graders. They have great personalities and are considerate and kind and have fabulous senses of humor. However, they don't have a lot of enthusiasm for school. Many of their parents work several jobs and are not able to be home when they get home from school to model the importance of academics and reading. Of course I want my students to get good grades but my personal goal for them that is most important to me, is to make them life long learners, to build skills that will help them study, work and be successful in life. I believe I can do this by creating a welcoming classroom and providing a model of a thoughtful, commited citizen.
