The books that I have requested have been carefully selected based on student interest and showcase artists of diverse backgrounds and styles. All of my students work at different speeds and having this art library will allow those who finish early or need inspiration to flourish. Donations to this project will give my students access to independent technique building as well as ideas about how to use their skills in creative careers. I think it's imperative to show students real world examples of people who have made successful careers in the arts. Too often children are told that artists don't make money and they give up on pursuing a career in the arts. I have so many talented students that could be successful as professional artists, and I want to show them different ways that they can accomplish their dreams.
