Providing flexible seating options will allow students to choose a space in the classroom where they feel they can do their best work. This project will allow students the ability to choose from surf desks, yoga balls, and wobble chairs. In addition, these styles of seating have been proven to help students stay on task and engage fully in their work. Students spend a significant amount of time in the classroom and should be able to learn in a place they feel comfortable. By providing these options, students will learn to make appropriate choices, have opportunities to collaborate, and direct their own learning.

About my class
