In order for my students to complete literacy/writing assignments, we have to sign up for a highly utilized computer lab. The labs are oftentimes scheduled for months at a time for testing and counseling activities. Therefore, my students must "hunt and peck" or "one finger destroy" entire papers. This sometimes takes multiple days to complete, and if students are not given time in class, it often does not get done. Having a class set of keyboards that would connect to their iPads would greatly increase the amount of writing practice would could accomplish in class. It would also further develop creative writing projects that could be implemented into the classroom due to alleviating the scheduling issue with the labs.
