Giving my students access to color pictures, in lessons and activities will help them with their understanding. Often times kindergarteners have limited vocabulary and black and white photos/pictures come out fuzzy and hard to see. This affects their ability to properly identify the picture being used. Having a color printer will help eliminate this problem and will help them grow in their vocabulary are recognition. Vocabulary plays a key role in every subject. Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts all contain key vocabulary words. In kindergarten we often present these words as pictures, to give them something to relate to and help them understand the meaning. Without the proper vocabulary for each subject, they are not able to succeed. A printer will help my students to succeed.
