These materials will help with setting up a flexible seating environment in which my students can choose how to work comfortably throughout the long school day. Also, students that have trouble sitting still can have different options so they can get out their wiggles and continue to focus their energy on learning. I had only a couple different chairs last year and the kids would fight for the comfy chairs. I could see how being comfortable made a difference in their attention and motivation throughout the day. When you're stuck on a hard chair for hours, it definitely is challenging to stay focused.
