I want to create my own classroom makeover that introduces flexible seating options for my students to give my students choice and a place within the school that they feel they are truly welcome and can come alive in. Currently I have whiteboard tables I created myself, but I want to give my students so much more, because they deserve it! Flexible seating allows students choice in the classroom and the ability to escape sedentary classes, which in turn helps them stay active and stay more focused. Also, I typically have classes that are 25-30+ students, and normal desks/tables are cumbersome and take up much of our space that we could be using for collaboration and creating projects. Flexible seating actually opens up a room for more student centered activities.
