I want my classroom to be a place where students are motivated to work hard. The research on flexible seating has shown that it is a positive influence on students. Some benefits of flexible seating include using excessive energy, increasing motivation, and boosting engagement. I want to be able to provide my students with flexible seating options so that they can choose what works best for their individual need. An adjustable standing desk, yoga balls, lap desks, stools, and seat cushions will provide my students with different seating choices each day. Numerous amounts of students benefit from movement and flexible learning environments. By providing an environment where students learn best, we are helping them achieve their highest level of academic success.
