Research has shown that natural lighting creates a more hospitable atmosphere for learners of all types and abilities. Unfortunately, most classrooms are equipped with harsh, overly-bright fluorescent lights. Rather than enjoying time reading a good book, my students' eyesight often becomes tired as the day wears on. My special education students deserve the best learning environment possible. Fluorescent light covers can make an incredible difference! With a softer, welcoming environment, my students will be more inclined to read on their own, focus on the lesson at-hand, and truly absorb the content. They will enjoy what they've read rather than feeling tired or unfocused.
