The laptops will allow students to access programs such as Learning Ally, Grammarly, and Readworks. These programs aide students by providing text-to-speech and enabling students to independently check their grammar. Students can use their Echo during group discussions and for research purposes. An Echo will allow students to focus on finding the answers without being frustrated if they cannot spell certain words. The use of technology in our class will provide necessary accommodations for students to succeed. Students will be engaged using programs such as Kahoot and Quizziz to check their understanding of topics in a game setting. Students will use headphones to listen to audio books or to complete individual activities such as I-Ready. They will be able to focus on their assignment and minimize distractions using headphones.
