We need these books - Wuthering Heights, Great Expectations, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, and The Awakening to support a complete study of classic literature across time in order to fully prepare for the AP Lit exam. Students will be broken up into groups to read these books at home; then come to class to discuss and analyze. After careful analysis, students will present/teach the book to other students. This allows for depth of a specific text as well as breadth (exposure) to many texts, both of which are requirements for success on the AP Lit exam. Every student needs a book to bring home to read from since we do not have time to read in class. They will be assigned a reading schedule they must adhere to. They will take notes and be tested over their reading the next day.
