Cooking instruction is a crucial part of our classroom curriculum and combines a variety of subject areas, including health, math, reading, and behavior management. Students learn about nutrition, following directions, and measurement conversions. In order to provide cooking instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic, each student must have their own set of cooking supplies. They will not be allowed to share their materials. This requires our classroom have at least 6 sets of materials. With these cooking supplies, students' learning of crucial functional skills will continued to be a part of the curriculum in our class.
