If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn!" Thank you for helping me be able to teach my students the way they learn best! I am lucky to be the teacher of over 50 preschool aged children with special needs. The children in my classes have a variety of different disabilities including speech and language impairments, cognitive impairments, autism, visual impairments, and various processing disorders. These children approach each new school day with a smile on their face despite the fact that some of the simplest tasks such as holding a crayon or formulating a request for their favorite snack can be a tremendous task! Every day I get to witness the joys of a child overcoming an obstacle they have spent months to overcome! Please take a moment and step into the life of a child with special needs.....it will be an experience you will never forget!
